What is a Bell and Paton greenhouse tunnel?
A Bell and Paton walk-in greenhouse tunnels are designed with the following specs:
- 25mm galvanised poles that make up the endoskeleton (inside poles) and are 0.7mm thick.
- Agricultural grade plastic cover is made from 180g/m2 PE (polyethylene) material.
- The plastic cover is 6% UV treated and will not disintegrate in the South African sun.
- The plastic cover is 100% waterproof and has built-in rip-stop mechanism.
- The plastic cover allows 70%, diffuse light penetration which is perfect for all crops.
- There are 2 doors, one at the front and 1 at the back.
- Each door has 2, oversized zips.
- There are small (30cm x 30cm), roll-up flaps in 1m intervals along the length of the greenhouse.
- Each roll-up, side flap is double layered. The first layer is a roll-up PE and the second, fixed layer is 40% white agricultural shade netting.
- This greenhouse is designed to increase and retain heat for your crops. It keeps the heat in and the cold out. The result is that your crops grow faster inside. The impact of cold and frost is reduced. You can extend summer conditions into autumn and also start planting spring crops earlier.
- In the event that something catastrophic happens to your PE cover, Bell and Paton also sell replacements. We supply PE covers at subsidised rates to keep you growing!
- Each greenhouse comes with all the tools, nuts, bolts, all the parts and instructions required to build it yourself. The Bell and Paton team are also more than willing to talk you through the construction if necessary.

4.5m x 2m x 2m Portable Greenhouse Tunnels – this tunnel is a great greenhouse for the home gardener who has a little more growing space. Two doors on either side to provide better ventilation and access. 8 roll up windows with shade netting.
4m x 3m x 2m Portable Greenhouse Tunnel – perfect if you have a good-sized garden, great for pots or ground gardening. One can easily install shelving, hydroponics or garden using pots and the ground for a beautiful gardening hub all year around.
6m x 3m x 2.5m Portable Greenhouse Tunnel - these portable greenhouses tunnels are ideal for experienced gardeners or gardens with extra space. The smallest greenhouse with a 2.5m height for training up creeping plants like tomato and cucumber. Two doors on either side and roll-up windows with shade netting for ventilation and pest control.
